About True Stars Academy
True Stars Academy is a theatre school set up by Eastender’s actress Brooke Kinsella in 2010 to provide a base for 6-16 year olds from which they are able to develop as individuals and grow in confidence as they enhance their knowledge and appreciation of all areas of the performing arts.
Brooke has had an extensive professional career as an actress and continues to do so and uses her experience to fulfill her role as Principal of this theatre school. Although the Academy training is serious, students have fun while they learn. For three hours each week your child will learn to express themselves more easily, gain poise, self-confidence, and self-awareness. These skills, learnt while our students enjoy themselves, do not disappear when they come off stage – they are skills for life. True Stars Academy is for two kinds of young people….
One kind are performers – keen to train for a professional career, although we never hide the fact that this is very difficult and fraught with disappointments. The other kind are explorers who see in us a chance to stretch themselves, make new friends, learn new skills and discover how much they can grow. We want students of all ages who attend this theatre school to experience a sense of belonging to a family within which they can feel secure and flourish. Classes run every Saturday during term-time from 10am until 1pm.

True Stars Academy has now set up a full talent agency for those pupils who wish to seek professional work in television, film, commercials and theatre. We have very close contacts with industry professionals so we will always endeavour to make sure our pupils have a chance of being seen for professional work when suitable. However, attending the theatre school does not guarantee you a place in the agency. Children will not join the agency until all our teachers believe they are ready and have the confidence to do so.
